Beach

 It was a Sunday afternoon, and I was packing my bag thinking: I'm going to the beach tomorrow! I'm going to the beach tomorrow! I was so excited, but then we had to go to bed and I just couldn't sleep but I did.
Next, it was Monday morning and we had to drive to the beach when it was still dark. 
When we finally got there, we went snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, and we went walking around the rocks, but my favourite thing was snorkeling around…. everywhere!
This is how it all started. My mum's friend has two children and their names are Hunter and Lynken. On one of the days we were there, my dad decided that we were going to go for a snorkel so Hunter, my dad and I went down to the beach. We dived into the water and, guess what I saw…. I saw stingrays with orange with blue spots then I saw purple jellyfish with blue spots and fish like flounder and three poisonous fish.
It was then time to go and I hopped into the car and off we went. I really hope we can go again sometime.

X Factor

It was a windy cold but sunny day and Mum Connor and I were waiting in the hot car, as we were waiting we seen our kitten misty fly up on the car.
"Whats that on the car"
I asked mum its misty Mum replied.
 "OK" I said loudly, then dad came "FINALLY" connor yelled then dad started the car he repeatedly turned the key left and right
"it wont work He said".
 I'm just joking.....NOW LETS GO!!!
 We zoomed off down the drive way WOW
 I can't lean forward!!!!
 As we disappeared into Auckland dad said secretly were going to.... X FACTOR!!!
 "YAY" we yelled.
As soon as we got there Connor woke me up because I was sleeping the whole way there  then Connor and I  I ran into the HUGE and dark stadium then we had to get our tickets and find our seats as we were finding them  I was sitting on a random seat but i was siting next to a stranger he looked at me and I looked back he just started laughing I was SO SO SO SO scared so i ran away.
Mum said "I found our seats" then we heard about ten people sing and i think number three was the best singer it was a girl she was so pretty.
Then we packed up our stuff and went home but before we left Auckland town we got a gooey freezing ice-cream I hope we can go again sometime. 
It was so amazing and i hope i can go again sometime.

Go Noah.

Hello have you seen the Go Noah production? Well it started with some angles and i was an angle. So was my friend Tyarne and Emily brown. It started with Noah sleeping behind a bush then he herd some angles that told him that he had to build a MIGHTY ark. But Mrs Noah didn't like where he was going with this so she did not help at all with building the ark she just done her washing. Then all the neighbor's laughed and sang a song and after the song they wondered off back stage. Then they got all the animals inside before it started raining then the boys carried her inside on her chair. Mrs Noah said: What about my washing! Danni said: ill get it. the animals sang a song will we ever see land again then the angles sang a song Noah Noah here what we say. so Noah sent three birds  but Montana found land. HOORAY!!!

World of Maths

Today was World of Maths at school and Rooms 3, 4 and 5 gathered into the hall, then we balanced blocks on a mini see-saw. There was a red block called Mr Red and a blue block called Mr Blue and a yellow block called Mr Yellow.

I did a board game called Milkman, then Kruz and I raced around the board with our pens attached to the board. The houses we had to go to were called: Scott, Brown and Green.

Skye and Storm

One day near Christmas and there were two children who got home from school their mum and dad were waiting for them in the lounge with a Christmas present waiting for them on the ground.Then the kids jumped on the floor and opened the box and sitting in the box was sky and storm.Storm was a black puppy with some white on its legs and sky is a white puppy with some black on her legs.

Easter

One early Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny came to my house. 

In the hallway, was a trail of Easter Eggs into the lounge. There were hidden Easter Eggs everywhere. My brother and I were trying to find every Easter Egg in the house. I was so excited. 

Hooray! It's Easter. My mum and I were looking for Easter Eggs but I was still in my cozy pyjamas. My dad was helping my brother find Easter Eggs. We found them all. They were all in nice wrappers.

It was now the time of Passover. Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for the Passover Feast. Where do you want to eat the feast?” Jesus answered, “Go into the city. A man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. He will go into a house. Tell the owner of the house, “The teacher wants you to prepare the room for the Passover meal.” So the followers left and went into the city and prepared the Passover Feast.

In the evening, Jesus went to that house with the twelve. While they were eating, Jesus took the bread and gave God thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it; this is my body which will be given up for you.”





  
When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave God thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it; this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

After some time, Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room.  He put a large towel around him, making himself look like a servant.  After that, he poured water into a large bowl and began to wash the disciples' feet.  He then dried them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.
 

When Jesus had finished washing all of the disciples’ feet, he returned to the table.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?"  Jesus asked them.
Jesus is like a King - but even greater than a king, He's the King of Kings!  By washing the disciples’ feet, He was doing something that only a servant would do.
This is an example of how you should treat others.  You don't have to actually wash other people's feet, but do kind things to others and act like a servant for Jesus.

Room 4's Birthday Months

Live Simply Day

Today is Live Simply Day. We live Live Simply Day so that we can stand in solidarity with the poor people in our world. We want to try and find out what it is like to go without - go without sweet food and go without computers for a day. Some people never have those things.

Hot Air Balloon

Today a hot air balloon landed at our school and my gym teacher was helping the hot air balloon people. We got to hop in the balloon.

Mrs Thompson had a turn first in the  balloon and then Mr Keogh got to have a turn then Clare said, “How much are you gonna pay to make your principal go higher. After that, the children got to have a go at hopping in. When Keira, Brogen, Paige and I hopped in, we saw the enormous boiling hot air balloon but when we looked down at the ground we were up in the air and we got to have  another turn in the massive red yellow and orange hot air balloon.

The 2nd time, we struggled to climb in but we got in. After that, people started  to look like tiny little ants surrounding the hot air balloon and staring at us until we started to go down. It was so much fun. It was my best friend, Mackenzie’s turn.
Brogen and I were laughing. It was a fun day.

Honey Bees

What I found out: Bees go to flowers and pick up pollen and nectar and, when they get to their hive, they spew it out and that's our honey.

Swimming Sports

This year, our school had swimming lessons in the Ngaruawahia Town Pool, then we finished them by having our Swimming Sports Day.
We had to do freestyle, backstroke and heaps of other fun activities. I was really nervous and  impatient. I didn't know what to do at first then I knew what was happening. I had to jump in the freezing cold water with the rest of the eight year old girls, then Mr K said, “On your marks, get set.” He blew his whistle as hard as he could.

Off we swam, kicking as hard as we could, to the end of the pool, and I won the breaststroke race! 
Now it was time for the one width breaststroke. “7 year old boys, on your marks, get set.” Mr K blew his whistle really hard then they pushed off like rockets. There was a lot of splashing. They finally reached the end of the pool and it  was Hunter who won the race. Hooray! Everyone was cheering.
I was really proud of myself. “Yahoo,” I thought.
